Our Story
Sensical was founded in 2017 to build a consultancy led by senior practitioners. Every engagement would be led by someone with deep experience in the client's industry or challenge, close to the work and accountable for how it landed. That founding principle still shapes how the firm operates today.
Our approach has been shaped by a set of questions we bring to every engagement. What does success look like for this organisation and its stakeholders? What do the people at the centre of the work need to understand, decide, or act on? Solutions are designed around those answers, built on evidence, and delivered with the people who have to live with the outcome.
Since then, we have delivered award-winning service design work at Lifeline WA, led complex acquisitions that transformed businesses while keeping teams engaged, and supported communication and change programs across Defence, universities, hospitals, and mining organisations. We have turned around stalled projects and delivered on the expectations that determine whether change takes hold, from executive teams to frontline operators.
Today, Sensical is based in Perth with clients and experience across Australia and internationally. Much of our work comes through relationships, following senior leaders to new organisations, new states, and new countries. Every engagement is shaped by the same commitment: senior people close to the work, focused on outcomes that hold.

Rhiannon Crawford
Rhiannon is the Managing Director at Sensical, an experienced consulting and transformation leader with over 20 years working with senior leaders across resources, infrastructure, government, and corporate. Her career spans operational performance, change and transformation, organisational design, and AI adoption, including commercial and operational leadership behind major change. Rhiannon partners with leaders to shape the strategy, delivery, and communication that make significant change take hold, with particular strength in designing programs for the people who have to operate them.

Kelly Lane
Kelly is an Associate Director at Sensical and an experienced transformation and delivery specialist, with a 15+ year career leading operational improvement, change and capability programs across the telecommunications, resources and energy sector in London and Australia. Kelly partners with leaders to strengthen strategy, streamline operations and build the people capability required for sustained performance, with particular strength in the delivery and adoption of change, which is where operating systems most often succeed or fail.
